LAW GRADUATES AND ARTICLED CLERKS

Supporting you to progress your career

AGS offers law graduates the opportunity to commence their legal career with Australia's leading lawyers to goverment. We conduct a graduate program in our Canberra office, and articled clerkship programs in our Melbourne and Perth offices.

We also provide Practical Legal Training opportunities, from time to time, in our Adelaide and Brisbane offices. Our Sydney office recruits direct from the market to fill paralegal vacancies. From the outset, graduates are treated as part of the team and work directly with clients on matters.

Within the first year of joining AGS, law graduates participate in a national conference that introduces them to the national legal practice executive and includes development sessions on such topics as plain language drafting and advice writing. They also participate in a comprehensive development program of seminars, networking opportunities, rotations, mentoring and performance standards, and are supported by a website dedicated to their interests and needs at this stage of their legal career.

You can find out more about what it is like to commence your legal career with AGS by reading the profiles of some of our graduates and newly-admitted lawyers.

See Current vacancies for current graduate opportunities. See Working with us for details on our working environment and employment conditions.
