AGS Canberra welcomes contact from lawyers who are looking to gain experience within AGS's unique legal environment.

The Canberra office handles a broad range of legal work for our government clients, primarily across three work areas:

  • the Commercial Group, which specialises in contracts and tendering, commercialisation, intellectual property and information technology
  • the Litigation Group, which provides litigation and litigation related services including ADR, advising and in-house counsel services
  • the Office of General Counsel, which focuses on advising work in the areas of finance and revenue, machinery of government and constitutional and native title.

AGS Canberra also has a number of outposted legal staff who are based within client agencies or departments.

Lawyers interested in employment opportunities with AGS Canberra should forward a CV to Toni Magi, Senior HR Adviser. Your CV should include details on relevant work experience, skills, qualifications and achievements. Lawyers with fewer than 5 years post-admission experience should also provide details of their academic results.
