CRIMINAL LAW

With strengths in: law enforcement inquiries and investigations.

Many AGS lawyers have experience in criminal law as a result of prosecuting quasi-criminal cases under customs and excise Acts on behalf of the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service and the Australian Taxation Office. Some AGS lawyers also have criminal law experience from their private sector or public prosecution backgrounds. They advise clients on many criminal law issues such as search warrants, public interest immunity applications, theft and criminal matters relating to security.

We also have extensive experience in advising on public service discipline matters that also raise criminal law issues.
