CLE Program 2010

We are excited to introduce our new CLE/CPD program in 2010. AGS now provides a range of learning and development opportunities for legal professionals to assist them to build or improve a range of skills and behaviours.

Come to our lunchtime modules, have a bite to eat and learn about the government legal environment and aspects of law which are critical for all lawyers who practise in or with the public sector.

CLE/CPD topics are intended for lawyers who have limited (or no) government experience or for lawyers requiring a refresher on certain topics of law. Each participant will receive an up-to-date topic paper and a certificate stating the points and competency areas for legal education obligations.

Each module will run for 1.5 hours from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm on the dates advertised on our 2010 Canberra CLE/CPD Calendar, and will cover the following topics:

  • Public Sector Employment
  • Commonwealth and Commonwealth Bodies
  • Dispute Resolution and Monetary Claims
  • Statutory Interpretation
  • Privacy
  • Financial Management of the Commonwealth
  • GST Basics
  • Decision-making and Review of Decisions
  • Policy Development and Legislative Process
  • ADR Basics

To apply for a course, see our nomination form and pricing details.
