Since the office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman was created in 1977, AGS has advised on the Ombudsman’s jurisdiction and powers to investigate, Throughout that period we have also advised on the procedural and legal requirements pertaining to administrative law such as procedural fairness, in the context of the Ombudsman's proceedings, or actions of agencies that can be reviewed by the Ombudsman.
