Who should attend
The Privacy Act sets out standards for the management of records containing personal information within the Commonwealth public sector. At the heart of the legislation are the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), which impose obligations when collecting, storing, using and disclosing personal information.
This session explores the APPs from a practical perspective. It unpacks the detail of each APP and its significance for agencies to their day-to-day operations. There is opportunity for participants to raise examples and scenarios for discussion in this interactive session.
Participants will leave the session with a thorough working knowledge of the APPs and the ability to apply them to their agency’s operational environment.
This is a 2 hour course.
Standard fee – $300 (inclusive of GST).
No more than 20 people will be accepted on each course, and courses will only be conducted if we receive sufficient nominations.
