Senior Executive Lawyer

Kate Brophy is part of AGS’s Commercial practice and was promoted to Senior Executive Lawyer in March 2024.

Kate provides probity and procurement advice to Commonwealth agencies at all stages of the procurement cycle, including preparing probity plans, developing Request for Tender documentation, advising on evaluation processes and advising on conflict of interest and confidentiality issues.

Kate has advised on a range of complex Defence procurements, including advising on the probity of Project Single Living Environment and Accommodation Precinct, the Commonwealth’s largest public–private partnership project. Kate had also undertaken an outpost at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, where she advised on tender processes, contracts and negotiations for a wide range of ICT procurements.

Kate further delivers AGS training programs to Commonwealth clients on conducting fair and defensible procurement processes, including procurement tips and tricks, tender evaluation, and contract management.
