Hutton, Jonathon

Jonathon joined AGS in 2010 and is a senior member of our Dispute Resolution Administrative Law team. He has been a Senior Executive Lawyer since 2022. In 2016­–2017 Jonathon was counsel-assisting to Solicitors-General Justin Gleeson SC and Stephan Donaghue KC.

Jonathon provides expert advice on litigation, administrative law issues and statutory interpretation. He also regularly appears as an advocate in Commonwealth Courts and Tribunals and has acted for the Commonwealth in multiple Royal Commissions. He works for a wide range of Commonwealth departments, agencies and statutory authorities, but has a particular focus on migration law, human rights law, and health, environment and education matters.
