Senior General Counsel
David is a senior member of the Money Services and Integrity team in AGS’s Office of General Counsel. He has extensive experience advising a range of Commonwealth entities on complex legal issues relating to Commonwealth financial frameworks and the handling of Commonwealth monies, including the use of special accounts. David regularly advises on the interpretation and application of a range of Commonwealth financial and revenue laws, including obligations under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (Cth), superannuation legislation, taxation law and social security. He also advises on constitutional issues relating to the development of legislation, as well as Commonwealth expenditure and other initiatives. Prior to joining AGS, David was Acting Principal Legal Officer at the Department of Finance.
