Senior General Counsel

Elizabeth has over 10 years of experience as a public lawyer, and has extensive expertise in providing advice to government on constitutional and statutory interpretation matters, as well as in the conduct of constitutional litigation.

She has provided legal advice and assistance in relation to a number of complex legislative projects, particularly in the areas of education, social security and entitlements, and has considerable experience in all aspects of the legislative process.

Elizabeth joined AGS in 2015. Previously, she practised in the Constitutional and Native Title Unit of the Crown Solicitor’s Office of NSW, and was an Associate to then Justice Susan Kiefel AC on the High Court of Australia. Elizabeth also holds a PhD in constitutional law from the University of Melbourne.
