Senior Executive Lawyer

Michelle is part of the Dispute Resolution Administrative Law team and has been with AGS since 2022. She was promoted to Senior Executive Lawyer in September 2025. Michelle specialises in administrative law, with a primary focus on migration. She appears in proceedings in the Administrative Review Tribunal, Federal Circuit Court, Federal Court and High Court, frequently as a solicitor advocate.

Michelle has acted in citizenship and character matters, as well as matters concerning decisions to sanction registered migration agents. She previously completed a secondment with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority. Michelle’s strong legal knowledge in the area of administrative law, and her ability to apply both legislation and case law effectively, have previously enabled her to provide valuable training and guidance to solicitors in her team.

She was recognised for her outstanding contribution to the Commonwealth’s response to NZYQ v Minister for Immigration [2023] HCA 37, receiving an Australia Day Achievement Award alongside her AGS colleagues for exceptional cross-practice collaboration and legal expertise.
