Angela is a highly experienced public lawyer and legislative drafter in the Office of General Counsel’s Money, Services and Integrity team. She has over 20 years of expertise in drafting complex Commonwealth legislation. Angela joined AGS as a Senior General Counsel in 2024.
Angela has deep expertise in statutory interpretation, administrative law, and constitutional law, with an exceptional understanding of legislative schemes, the legislative development process, and parliamentary procedures. Her ability to draft precise, legally effective, and constitutionally sound legislation has made her a trusted adviser to government agencies.
Before joining AGS, one of Angela's notable achievements was successfully drafting urgent legislation responding to recent High Court decisions on indefinite immigration detention and the cessation of citizenship.
Since joining AGS, Angela has provided strategic legal advice on various migration matters and legislative projects to amend migration laws. She has developed strong relationships with clients, who value her expertise and collaborative approach.
