Who should attend

Australian Public Service (APS) employees.

Outline and objective

All APS employees are bound by the APS Values, Employment Principles, and Code of Conduct set out in the Public Service Act (PS Act).

This 1-hour session briefs APS employees on the APS Code of Conduct and the APS Values. Examples and cases will be discussed in the session.

Participants will leave with an improved understanding of their obligations as public servants under the PS Act, and how to assess and manage the risks of expressing views on social media consistently with those obligations.

Presenters

Our presenters are AGS lawyers who have a great depth of knowledge of the government environment and who practise extensively in the areas of employment law.

Duration

This is a 1-hour course delivered online. This course offers 1 CPD point.

Cost

Standard fee – $180 (inclusive of GST) per person. No more than 20 people will be accepted on each course, and courses will only be conducted if we receive sufficient nominations.
