SES appointments at AGS

19 December 2025

We are pleased to announce 2 SES promotions at AGS. We congratulate Jane Supit, who has been promoted to the role of Deputy Chief Solicitor (DCS) in the Commercial practice area. We also congratulate Jesse Murphy who has been promoted to the role of Senior General Counsel (SGC) in the Office of General Counsel (OGC). Their promotions, which were effective from 12 December, recognise the extensive contributions Jane and Jesse have made to the practice and AGS as a whole.

The AGS, Matthew Blunn, said, ‘I am really pleased with all the appointments and the strength they signal, both in terms of the quality of lawyers making a commitment to AGS and the quality of the work that makes such an important contribution to making AGS a professionally satisfying place to work.’

The Acting OGC and Commercial National Leaders, Olivia Abbott and Laura Smyth respectively, joined the Secretary, Katherine Jones PSM and the AGS in congratulating the new appointments.

Our AGS SES Band 2 DCS and SGC (equivalent to Senior Partner level) are highly experienced leaders who have a proven ability to manage the most significant, complex and often sensitive matters for a range of Commonwealth clients.

You can find more information about our AGS Office of General Counsel (specialist expertise) and AGS Commercial practice areas, and AGS employment opportunities on our website.

Congratulations again to you all.
