McBride, Emily

Emily McBride leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for AGS’s client engagement, communications, and service delivery across the Commonwealth. She works closely with senior leaders and practice areas to support the delivery of high‑quality legal work.

With extensive experience in legal operations and national‑level leadership, Emily has previously held senior roles across AGS and the Department of Defence, including National Manager Dispute Resolution, National Manager Office of General Counsel and National Practice Manager for Defence Legal. Across these positions, she has led teams, strengthened legal service delivery frameworks, and supported strategic workforce and capability initiatives.

Emily is committed to fostering clear and engaging communication, strong client relationships and practical, collaborative ways of working. She is motivated by enabling people and teams to perform at their best and by supporting AGS’s role as the trusted legal adviser to the Australian Government.
