AGS Legal Opinions is a new collection in Trove

Since Federation, Attorneys-General, Solicitors-General and lawyers within the Attorney's-General Department have released opinions on points of law, of which selected opinions from 1901 to 1945 have previously been made available in hard-copy publications, and are now available online through the AGS Legal Opinions website.

The Trove team from the National Library of Australia has been working with AGS to bring records for these opinions into Trove, and they can now be found in the 'Journals, articles and data sets' zone. There are just over 1,750 opinions on a variety of topics with 150 by our first Attorney-General, Alfred Deakin.
